I have developed a much deeper knowledge of the term “audience” this semester. I came to understand how crucial it was to make my writing understandable to lay readers who were curious about the topics I was writing about in addition to City College students. This can vary based on a person’s age, occupation, race, and so on. For instance, my crew and I chose to focus on laternfly trees for the PSA project. The audience includes people who care about the environment and environmentalists in addition to CCNY students.
